Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher has died aged 60 following a heart attack last week.
Carrie Fisher, a US actress, mostly known for the portrayal of Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, had died. She died at the age of 60 of a cardiac arrest. She started to feel ill on a flight from London to Los Angeles, and was immediately taken to hospital after the landing.
Her family released a statement on Tuesday morning.
Since then, many people took to social media to pay their last tribute to the late star. Her Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill just said on Twitter, "No words #devastated".
A spokesman for her daughter, Billie Lourd, Simon Hall, said in a statement,"It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8.55 (16:55 GMT) this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers."
