Harrison Ford didn't seem to mind to part with his alter ego Han Solo's leather jacket, worn in the latest Star Wars film, and received a staggering $191,000!
Since Harrison Ford won't be wearing it anymore, he offered his latest Han Solo jacket for a good cause - and earned quite a bit of money doing so.
He auctione off the genuine article worn while filming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" through charity auction site IfOnly to raise funds for epilepsy treatment and research at the NYU Langone Medical Center and FACES.
Ford's 25-year-old daughter, Georgia, also suffers from epilepsy and is currently being treated at the NYU facility. Ford signed and dated the jacket, just in case the winner needs to prove its provenance.
The online auction, which wrapped up earlier this month, topped out at $191,000. It’s a good price for a jacket that probably will never get washed or sported again.
