After 18 rejected applications because she was transgender, this trainer found a special place in the first LGBT gym in the nation, a 'safe place' that gives its members an amazing community.
As the society keeps moving towards equality for all, this movement is considered less and less taboo.
We are all aware that Laverne Cox is a heroine of our time, not to go any further.
But now, if you told someone there are gyms dedicated to serving the LGBT community, it would sound like a joke. Why would they need a separate gym, anyway?
However, those gyms have another point. They are dedicated to helping them mold their own bodies into ones that better suit their brains.
This means that we, as a society, have come a long way. Facilities that move along with the changes are a great example of how we should treat each other.
To be honest, this is actually just another way to earn money, but at least they have a place to go and feel welcome all the time. No matter the cost.
