The Beard: Hipster or has-been in fashion savvy Italy?

To beard, or not to beard, that is the question.

Some have said that the year 2016 will be the year when the beard dies. However, we are not sure that is the case. Those lumberjack beards are still too hot.

Historian Alun Withey said in an interview with The Times UK, that people predicted the year 2013 will end the reign of the beard. Alun is an academic who is running a three-year project on the beard and its cultural history in the UK.

However, they have been wrong each and every time, as the beard has maintained as strong as ever.

He told The Times UK, "People have been predicting the fall of them since 2014 and that Peak Beard has been reached."

In the further studies of the beard, he is definitely sure that it will stop due to a historical pattern. He predicts that the decline is just around the corner.

This time however, it's really ending. Like, actually. He says it's all down to the historical pattern, which, according to his data, is predicting a huge decline right around now.

He stated, "There will be a backlash. They are divisive. There is already a backlash in the United States where there’s a new ideal; the yuccie."

The yuccie, according to David Yi at Mashable, is a "Young Urban Creative."

On the other hand, if you look at some of the best dressed celebrity men, and the mot hottest polls, most men are clean-shaven. If that means that the era of the beard is coming to an end, let it be. But some men actually look manlier with a beard. Hopefully, they will keep it.

Justin Bieber needs to shave, though.
